A Collective Identity Crisis
Oct 30 – Nov 16, 2018
@ The UMass Student Union Gallery
Closing Reception: Thursday November 15th, 5-7pm
Using improvisation and intuition as their guides, three figures navigate constructed worlds that softly blend reality and fiction. Vignettes in which wigs are portals, fresh lilies are lunch, and friendship is choreographed through wood piles, living rooms and discount stores.
Tristatic is Jacqueline Dougherty, Julia Handschuh, and Haley Morgan. This trio makes performance for video, generating work through the embodied exploration of space and identity, and using a camera to document, amplify, and share their playtime. Based in Atlanta, GA and Western Massachusetts.
